Today was Neiderbipp's (my town's) Fasnacht celebration. As I have said Fasnacht is a festival used to scare away winter spirits. To do so people form a band and march down the street playing loud music, banning drums and shooting confetti and lollies out of cannons off the side of cars. the People in the street watch this spectacle and get covered in confetti, throw confetti and have a wonderful time. So that is what I have been doing today, watching people play music while throwing.....and getting covered in confetti myself.








After the parade down the street, that was started by three fires of a Cannon, we went to the town hall for the children and adults party. Basically this was an excuse for the bands to play their music again, for the adults to drink, the children to trow confetti at each other and at the adults and the adults also were allowed to act like children as it is fasnacht and throw confetti back at the kids.



After being covered in confetti, and starting a few confetti wars myself,..... my clothes were so full of confetti and my hair so covered that i probably had gained a kilo in weight just from the amount of confetti that was covering my body.








Today was so much fun and i had the best time ever.
